Privacy policy
Last updated: September 23, 2026
CoucouPush is operated by Téva Krief, an individual entrepreneur in France (SIREN 841 529 027). This policy covers coucoupush.com, our API and our mobile application. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@coucoupush.com.
What we process
- Account information: your email address, account identifier, spaces, API keys and authentication records when you use the website.
- Connected devices: the device name, platform, push token, device identifier, pairing information and last connection time. These let us associate a device with a space and route notifications to it.
- Notifications: the title, message, image URL and other delivery options you send through the API or website, plus technical delivery information such as timestamps, status and errors.
- Billing and support: subscription and transaction identifiers, plan status, and information you include in support requests. Our payment provider handles payment details; CoucouPush does not store your full card number.
- Technical information: network requests expose your IP address and request information to our hosting and delivery providers. We use technical records and rate limits to operate and protect the service.
What happens to your notifications
Notification content is encrypted in our temporary sending queue. The live queue removes it after the push provider accepts it, sending fails permanently, or it expires (normally after one hour). Expired data is removed by our cleanup worker; an outage can delay that cleanup. Technical delivery records are normally removed after seven days. Backup copies, if made, may retain older encrypted queue records until those backups are rotated.
Provider acceptance does not guarantee delivery to your device. Messages pass through our server and push providers in a form they can process: they are not end-to-end encrypted. Avoid sending passwords, secrets or sensitive personal information in notifications.
The app saves notifications it captures in a local SQLite database on your device. This local history is not uploaded as an archive to CoucouPush. It can be incomplete and cannot be restored from our servers. You can delete individual notifications or use Clear all. Device backups may be managed separately by your operating system.
Images are loaded from the URLs supplied by the sender. The image host may receive the device's IP address and request details when an image is displayed.
Why we use this information
We process account, device, notification and billing information to provide the service you request and perform our contract with you. We use necessary technical information for our legitimate interests in preventing abuse, securing the service and handling support. We keep records required by applicable accounting or other legal obligations. Optional permissions, such as notification permission, can be changed in your device settings.
Providing the account and device information needed for a feature is necessary to use it. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.
Service providers
We use OVHcloud for hosting, Expo and the Apple/Google push networks for notification delivery, Resend for transactional emails, and Lemon Squeezy for payments. They receive the information needed for their respective functions. Your space owner controls the notifications sent to devices in that space.
Some providers process information outside the European Economic Area. Their applicable data protection terms and transfer safeguards govern those transfers. You can request further information using the contact address above.
Storage and retention
Account and device records are kept while needed to provide the service. Disconnecting a device removes its pairing from our live service. To request deletion of your account and associated information, email us from your account address. We may retain limited records where necessary to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or prevent fraud. Support correspondence is retained as needed to address your request. Our providers may have their own retention obligations.
The website uses essential session cookies and browser storage for login and functionality. The mobile app stores pairing credentials and received notifications on your device. CoucouPush does not use advertising trackers.
Your choices and rights
You can disconnect devices and disable notifications in your device settings. Subject to applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where consent is used. Contact contact@coucoupush.com; we may need to verify that the request concerns your account.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In France, this is the CNIL.
Children and policy updates
CoucouPush is a general-purpose notification tool, not a service designed specifically for children. Where parental authorization is required by applicable law, a parent or guardian must provide it. Contact us if you believe a child's information has been provided improperly.
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice of significant changes.
